Impeccable Traditional Window Cleaning In Tuscaloosa, AL

This customer hired us for a basic window cleaning at her home that sat on the banks of the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa, AL. Most of her windows had the typical pollen and grime that naturally occurs with the area over time. Some of her windows took a little extra attention to remove the algae that had taken root to the glass.

Window cleaning is a fairly simple process, that, with the right professional grade tools can be an easy task.

We first started by applying a soap and water mixture to the windows to give us a nice slick surface to work with. Next, for a first time cleaning, we scrubbed the windows using 0000 steel wool soaked in the same soap and water mixture. 0000 steel wool is strong enough to remove just about any organic growth or grime without the possibility of scratching the glass. For the tougher areas such as sticker glue residue, we used a very sharp window scraping blade that is only used when a generous amount of soapy-water solution is applied. When a scraper is used on a dry window, it WILL scratch the glass. This is why it was such a good action on her part that she called us for this project as we have the knowledge to prevent any damage, even with window cleaning. We then re-wet the glass for squeegee removal using a fanning technique that everyone associates with window cleaning. The frames were then wiped clean with a dry microfiber towel.

According to the homeowner, she had never seen her windows have so much reflectivity and be so crystal clear.
