Professional Concrete Cleaning & House Washing On Tierce Lake Rd In Northport, AL
This customer is a local business owner with a nice house, huge shop, and an amazing covered entertainment area in the backyard in Northport, AL that doesn't leave much to be desired. The covered area has multiple fans for enjoying the summer without breaking a sweat, and two very nice grills to ensure everyone has something to eat. With all of that nice cool shade, the area also presents a problem: trapped humidity and a perfect growing atmosphere for algae when the fans are not running.
The customer hired us to provide a concrete cleaning and house washing for some area of the home with algae growth beginning to show. The initial walk-around didn't take long, and the customer was pleased with the quote. We scheduled this job for a few days away due to another customer backing out at the last minute.
On the day of the cleaning, we low pressure soft washed the house first before moving to the concrete. We never want to walk back across anything we've already cleaned, so proper planning is a must on our part. The concrete always takes a little longer than some of our other services because the entire cleaning is a multi-step process. We first start by watering all of the surrounding grass, flowers, and bushes with plain water to protect it from the chemical cleaning solution. For concrete as dirty as this was, we usually apply a 3% surfactant and sodium hypochlorite solution to the concrete and let it dwell for 10 to 15 minutes. After the required amount of time has passed, we start the cleaning process using a high pressure rotary surface cleaner for the largest areas, and follow-up by using a wand with a tip for trimming out and edging. We then rinse the entire area to show the true beauty of the freshly cleaned concrete. The final step is to apply a post-treatment of the sodium hypochlorite for continued cleaning deep within the concrete and blending in the following days.
The customer was arriving back at home after being at work right about the time we were packing up. He stated that he could see the difference in his driveway about a hundred feet from arriving. The customer was extremely pleased with the service we provided and even recommended us to his business partner whose home and concrete we cleaned a few months later.
