Impressive Roof Cleaning In Northport, AL

This Northport, AL customer wanted a roof cleaning to remove the algae growing on the roof of her beautiful home. By using our low-pressure soft wash system, we were able to provide that service without the worry of damage or voiding the shingle manufacturer's warranty.

For roof cleanings, we start the service by first watering the the grass, bushes, and flowers beneath the roof's edges with plain water to protect them from the algaecide we use. Think of plant life as a sponge in that it's going to soak up whatever it comes in contact first. In this case, you want the plant life to consume the water rather than the algaecide. After spraying the surrounding areas with water, we went to work spraying the roof from the bottom-most edge all the way up to the ridge cap ensuring a smooth consistent coverage of the affected areas. This home did not have French drains, so after waiting for approximately 45 minutes, we gave it a light rinse to get the majority of the cleaning solution off of the roof. this helps in that while the majority of the cleaning agent does come off, the algaecide has had enough time to penetrate into the organic growth thereby reaching the roots and killing the organic growth. Over time, the dead growth will fall off leaving no traces of the algae that was there before. Before leaving, we sprayed the entire area once again with plain water to rinse any rinse overspray from the surrounding plant life.

We informed the customer that we were done and were about to leave. After walking around the home and looking at the roof, the customer was extremely happy to have her roof looking new again.
