Gentle Outdoor Canvas Awning Soft Washing In Tuscaloosa, AL

The owner of Big Al's Backstreet Lounge in Tuscaloosa, AL contacted us because she wanted to know if we had a way to clean the front and side awnings of her establishment. We told her the best way to remove the algae and lichen growth was to perform a soft washing that would rid the canvas awnings of the organic growth while not damaging the fabric. Soft washing is a technique used on delicate surfaces that utilizes low pressure water and specialized chemicals formulated to kill organics thus stopping the growth and spread of the unwanted plant life. After applying the chemical treatment, the solution is allowed to dwell for a specific amount of time before being rinsed off. For this cleaning, we opted to use a relatively low pressure rinse due to the age of the canvas awning.

The end result was perfect. All of the organic growth was killed and removed with no damage to the awnings.
